Sparky
About Sparky
Sparky, our boy. Many will know exactly what this boy has been through, he has had the most horrific life before coming to us. Starved, beaten and burnt with cigarettes. He is now back at full health and looks fabulous.
Sparky needs an experienced home, he will need a home who has plenty of time to help him adjust to living inside a house, he has never had a positive experience living inside a home. He needs a home which is fully committed to the dogs in their care, he will require a lot of time spent with him helping him become comfortable and settled. He will require ongoing lead training with his harness, it’s vitally important that anyone enquiring to adopt him fully understands his past.
Sparky is a very bouncy Boy, with this being the case we will not home him around children, he is not in any way aggressive at all but he still thinks fingers could be snacks and when taking treats he can still get very over the top, it would be highly irresponsible to home him with children. Must be an adult only household.
Sparky could be homed with another dog however it would have to be a dog of his size or larger, no small dogs, cats or small animals. Personally we believe he would be best on his own so he can get every bit of attention and focus all on him which he will require. he doesn’t re act to other dogs but he has never shared a home with one and as already explained he needs full focus on him.
Any adopter MUST keep in very close contact with us so this also needs to be understood before applying to adopt him.
Sparky is an active lad so he needs a home who can give him plenty of safe exercise. A secure safe garden is also required.
Sparky will take a lot of time to adjust in a new environment, he needs patience, understanding and experience. He is not a dog for a first time dog owner or someone who hasn’t had bull breeds.
Sparky is incredibly special to us, we will only ever let him leave freedom farm for the perfect environment for him. He will not be fully adopted until a time in the future that we are able to do so.
We would love to be able to keep him as locally to us as possible however if it’s the correct home for him then we are open to extend this, he is the priority as always.
We are very protective over our boy so we must be able to have an ongoing relationship with his adopter… so you basically get to adopt us too, how lucky!
