Our people
Cindi McNeil Regan
Founder
Cindi founded Rushton Dog Rescue in 2007 following the tragic passing of her partner, Timothy. Since then, she has dedicated herself to rescuing abandoned and abused dogs, constantly helping those in need.
A lifelong dog lover, Cindi has rescued dogs from across the UK and around the globe. Alongside her passion for dogs, Cindi has a deep love for horses and has been riding since childhood.
Zoe McNeil
Manager and rescue supervisor
Zoe, Cindi’s daughter, has been actively involved in running Rushton Dog Rescue since the age of 15. She has dedicated her entire life to the dogs, making numerous trips to China and living on-site full-time, caring for the animals seven days a week, every day of the year.
As the Manager and Rescue Supervisor, Zoe handles home checks and brings extensive experience with Tibetan Mastiffs and fearful dogs. Her commitment and expertise make her an invaluable asset to the charity.

Patrons
Shirlie Kemp
Shirlie is the patron of Rushton Dog Rescue! She is a massive supporter of Rushton, giving her time on many occasions for our dogs.
Her passion for animal welfare, her photography skills and her caring personality make her a great asset to the Rushton team.
Shirlie took all the wonderful photographs for our official 2019 calendar, which was a huge success in raising money for the Charity.
Now for a little bit of pop trivia: Shirlie used to be a backing vocalist for Wham! (George Michael & Andrew Ridgeley) before she and “Pepsi” DeMacque created the pop duo Pepsi & Shirlie! They released two albums, All Right Now (1987) and Change (1991).
And Shirlie is married to musician and actor Martin Kemp, and parents to Harley Moon and Roman, who many of you will know from Capital FM.
Alex Di Georgio
Alex is the Late George Micheal’s Cousin and was also his PA during his famous years!
Alex is a lovely man who adores dogs, he tries to help the charity as and when he is able and for that we are always grateful!
Volunteers
Their unwavering compassion, time, and energy help us save countless lives, from rescuing stray dogs to providing them with care, love, and rehabilitation. Whether fostering, organising events, donating their trade skills or offering daily support, we are thankful for our volunteers.
