Freedom farm

We provide a safe and loving environment for dogs that are not easily re-homed due to behavioural issues, medical conditions, or age.

Our sanctuary at Freedom Farm is dedicated to the long-term care and rehabilitation of rescued dogs, particularly those who have experienced neglect, abuse, or abandonment.

Key Aspects of Long-Term Care at Rushton Dog Rescue:

  1. Holistic Care: Each dog receives individual attention, addressing both physical and emotional needs. This may include medical treatments, regular health checks, and mental stimulation.
  2. Safe and Spacious Living: The sanctuary provides comfortable living spaces where dogs can socialise, play, and rest without fear.
  3. Behavioural Rehabilitation: For dogs with behavioural challenges, the sanctuary implements positive reinforcement techniques to help them overcome trauma and rebuild trust with humans.
  4. Veterinary Support: Dogs with chronic health issues receive ongoing veterinary care, including medication management, surgery if necessary, and therapies for long-term health conditions.
  5. Permanent Residence Option: Some dogs may remain at the sanctuary for life if they are unable to find a suitable home. We provide them with a stable, caring environment for the rest of their lives.
  6. End-of-Life Care: For elderly or terminally ill dogs, the sanctuary offers compassionate end-of-life care, ensuring they live out their days with dignity and comfort.

The sanctuary’s mission is to provide a forever haven for dogs that may not find traditional homes but deserve a loving and fulfilling life.
